Deborah Campbell (Owner/Leader)

Deborah holds a BA in Early Years and is a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner and Level 3 Forest School Leader. She has extensive experience in early years education through her previous role as Deputy Manager at Kinsbourne Green Nursery/Pre-School, as well as valuable experience in office administration, which has strengthened her organisational, financial, and leadership skills.

Deborah is committed to maintaining the highest standards of practice and regularly attends professional training courses, network meetings, and conferences to keep her knowledge current and ensure the setting remains aligned with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). She has completed SENCO training, is a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and has undertaken WRAP (Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent) training. In addition, Deborah is Makaton trained, holds a Full Paediatric First Aid qualification, and has completed Health and Safety and Level 2 Food Hygiene training.

As the Owner and Leader of the nursery, Deborah is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day management of the setting. She oversees the quality of care and education, ensuring that children are provided with a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment in which they can thrive. Deborah leads and supports the staff team, promotes a strong culture of safeguarding, and works in partnership with families and external agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for every child. She is passionate about continuous improvement, fostering high-quality teaching and learning, and ensuring the nursery maintains a welcoming, nurturing, and child-centred ethos.

Rebecca (Becky) Shipley (Manager and Setting SENCO) 

Becky holds an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Years and is a qualified Level 3 Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO). She has completed Paediatric First Aid, Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training, WRAP (Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent) training, Level 2 Food Hygiene, and Health and Safety training, ensuring she has a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding, child welfare, and the safe management of the setting.

As the Nursery Manager, Becky is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the setting, ensuring that high standards of care, education, and safeguarding are consistently maintained. She provides guidance and support to the staff team, oversees the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and works closely with children, families, and external professionals to promote positive outcomes for every child. In her role as the Setting SENCO, Becky leads on identifying and supporting children with additional needs, ensuring that inclusive practice is embedded throughout the nursery and that appropriate interventions and partnerships are in place.

Becky also brings a wealth of experience from several years working in marketing, which has enhanced her organisational, communication, and leadership skills. Her ability to manage teams, build positive relationships with families, coordinate projects, and promote the setting contributes significantly to the smooth and effective running of the nursery. Becky is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where children, families, and staff can thrive.

Leoan Smith (Deputy)

Leoan has successfully completed her NVQ Level 2 qualification in Early Years and is currently working towards achieving her Level 3 qualification. Leoan has completed a range of essential training, including Safeguarding, Prevent, EYFS, Paediatric First Aid, and WRAP (Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent), further strengthening her knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and the welfare of young children.

Throughout her time at Kinsbourne, Leoan has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, taking initiative within the setting, supporting colleagues, and acting as a positive role model. She contributes confidently to the daily running of the nursery and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. Her enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication make her a valued member of the Kinsbourne team.

Lai Ying Lam (Assistant Early Years Practitioner)

Ying has a wealth of experience across the childcare sector and brings a broad range of knowledge and skills to the team. She is a qualified Social Worker from Hong Kong, and we are extremely fortunate to have her as a valued member of our setting.

Ying holds a Paediatric First Aid qualification, has completed Safeguarding training, and has undertaken WRAP (Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent) training, further strengthening her understanding of child protection, wellbeing, and inclusive practice.

Through her previous work in Hong Kong, Ying gained extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Her knowledge and expertise have been invaluable in helping the team to implement appropriate strategies, complete relevant documentation, and ensure that children receive the individual support they need to thrive.

Katie Hulatt (Assistant Early Years Practitioner)

Katie holds an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Years and continues to develop her continuous professional development through ongoing training and professional learning opportunities. She has completed Autism Awareness training, Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding training. Katie has over 20 years’ experience working in childcare, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience, and understanding to her role. Throughout her career, she has supported children’s learning and development across a range of ages and stages, building strong relationships with children and families and creating nurturing, inclusive environments.

Jamey Doe (Assistant Early Years Practitioner)

Jamey holds a Level 3 NVQ qualification in Early Years and has gained extensive experience working within the early years sector across a variety of roles, including nursery settings and as a nanny. 

Jamey is committed to continuing her professional development and will be completing her Paediatric First Aid training in the Spring, as well as updating her Safeguarding and WRAP (Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent) training. She is dedicated to keeping her knowledge and skills current to ensure she continues to provide high-quality care and support for children.

(Assistant Early Years Practitioner)

Becca has an NVQ Level 3 early years qualification.   She has completed safeguarding training and completed paediatric first aid training.  Becca has a number of years experience in the early years sector.
